MATH 1060 Text

If you logon to the course via USU Canavas, you will be directed to the Online 1060 homepage which is is http://www.math.usu.edu/rheal/math1060.

Of course you must have a computer with an internet connection. A graphing calculator is also required. If you already own a graphing calculator then use that one.

Text and Software Installation:

If you are also registered for the online Math 1050 course and you have purchased an access code for Math 1050, simple enroll in an additional Hawkes section, Online Math 1060 Spring 2021, or contact me so that I can help you obtain an access code for Math 1060. 

The text is Precalculus, Third Edition  by Paul Sisson and is published by Hawkes Learning. The text material is integrated with the online software. You will purchase an access code an then create an account.

1. Go to Hawkes Learning.

2.Purchase an Access Code. You will enter Utah State University, click on Continue. The product you must select is Precalculus Third Edition (Be certain to choose the third edition.)

3. Click on View Cart and complete the purchase.

4. Go Hawkes Learning and select Create an Account. You will enter your Access Code and then create a password.

5. Enroll in the course: Robert Heal, Online Math 1060 Spring 2021

Once you work through the first few lessons, you will become very comfortable with the instructional software.
