Welcome to the Stat 2000 Webpage. This page contains news and
additional information regarding this class that becomes
available during the semester.
It is updated whenever
new dates, times, or other information become available.
This course closely follows Moore/McCabe (1998) as described
in the syllabus.
And here are the news:

- 8) Here are
Quiz 1,
Quiz 2, and the
Final from the last Stat 2000
course I taught at Utah State University in the Spring of 2000.
That course was very similar to our course. However,
I may have added something or omitted something
when comparing our course with the Spring 2000 course.
Exams may also not be matching entirely since there is
some variation on the time needed to cover a particular
topic in class such tht it can happen that something may
show up in Quiz 1 one year and only in Quiz 2 the other year.
(9/26/2001)
- 9) Homework 5 (due 10/10/2001).

- 19) The Final
will take place on

from 7:00am to 8:50am in our regular classroom.
You should bring your calculator and all the material
related to this class, e.g., textbook, lecture notes,
additional handouts, homeworks and solutions.
The final will be comprehensive. You should expect that about
1/2 of the final will cover recent material that was not part of any
of the previous 2 quizzes and about 1/2 of the final will cover material
discussed up to Quiz 2. Note that we discussed a lot of material that
is not included in the textbook.
(11/29/2001)
- 20) Study Guide.
(12/6/2001)
- 21) Grades have been entered into the university system.
Please check your final grades there. It was a pleasure to teach
this class with you. Thanks, Jürgen.
