This example illustrates the Basic ArcView-XGobi link. In the early 1980's data was collected for 329 cities in the United States for a variety of variables, including housing costs, climate, healthcare, crime, etc.
After the link is started the Climate and Housing cost variables
are displayed in a XY scatterplot above. One clear group of points
that is rated very high in climate and fairly high in housing cost can
be seen. When this group of points is brushed in red, it can be seen,
in the ArcView map below, that these cities are all located on the
California coast.
