Overview: Use this applet to estimate the mean area of the shapes in the figure based on a sample.

Instructions: Click on shapes to select a sample or use the 'random sample' button to have the applet choose a sample randomly. Use either method to generate multiple samples. The applet shows the distribution of the means in the user samples and the distribution of the means in the random samples.
