Estimating Parameters

The data you will need to have collected are, for each set of initial conditions $(S_0, Y_0)$, a time-series of yeast population densities,

$$\left\{(t_i, Y_i) \right\}_{i=1}^{N},$$

where $t_i$ is the time at which observation $i$ was made and $Y_i$ is the density of yeast at observation $i$.
