Section 3 - Spring 2007

Homework 8
Due: 4:00 Friday, March 30

Turn in this assignment in class on Thursday, or give it to the Math secretaries in Lund 211 to put in my mailbox.
Bring any SAS questions to class on Thursday. Data is available from the indicated links.

By hand:

Section 6.1: 3 (eye.txt), 4 (service.txt)
Section 6.2: 1 (fabric.txt), 4 (PTCtimes.txt)
Section 6.3: 2 (piston.txt), 3 (PTCtimes.txt) (no trimmed mean necessary for either of these)

Using SAS. Copy your figures and output into Word and include your discussion with the results:

Section 6.2: 7 (eye.txt), 8 (service.txt)
Section 6.3: 5 (service.txt), 8 (slab.txt)

Remember to "Save As..." type "Text File" for the various datasets.
