What program is right for you?
UMEP The Utah Mathematics Endorsement Project (UMEP) offers mathematics courses at USU regional campuses and extension sites for Utah's public school teachers.
For general information about our department's graduate programs contact our graduate director.
NLVM The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives (NLVM) provides a library of uniquely interactive, web-based virtual manipulatives or concept tutorials, mostly in the form of Java applets, for mathematics instruction (K-12 emphasis).
If you haven't yet graduated from college, then get a bachelors in mathematics education. Contact Math Advising .
If you have a degree, you can become a licensed mathematics teacher either by doing a second bachelors (recommended if you need to lots of matheamtics courses), or a masters of mathematics (to qualify you must have substantial mathematics coursework completed). Either of these degrees will qualify you for Utah's Teacher Salary Supplement Program.
If you are already a teacher, then take coursework for mathematics endorsements through UMEP.
